ABOUT US
HOGWARTS RP
Hogwarts RP is a roleplaying guild set to portray the lives of witches and wizards at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But, it comes with a new twist even You-Know-Who himself might defect from his vicious deeds.
It is with great pleasure do we announce the revival of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry after a particularly long vacation with an entire NEW SYSTEM to boast which happens to be muggle-proof, dare we say.
HRP will be fully-equiping its prompt approach in favor of our students’ restricted hours. Main themes of our prompts will adjust depending on the holiday, event and/or month. We encourage everyone to use descriptive roleplaying. Start small. One or two sentences is enough. Everyone starts somewhere.
Lessons will be turned into pressure-less prompts. You will be given the choice to participate with a prompt but there will be no unnecessary assignments due.
Students can also expect more interactive activities for you to participate with such as house gatherings, games, parties, and more.
Our first main theme for this month is Yuletide Season.
CODE OF CONDUCT
HRP RULES AND GUIDELINES
Some rules are adopted from World of Olympians and Bayani Cinematic Universe Encounters.

APPLICATION
The link to the application form can be found on our website. Be true to your answers to avoid any errors subject to change in the future. Be patient when awaiting a confirmation mail from the base account. Applications with taken faceclaims will be bypassed.
You may not claim to have any relations with any of the characters from the series. For example, claiming that you’re Draco’s cousin is strictly forbidden.
Please take note of the schedule we follow on accepting new applicants.

BEHAVIOR
Respect your fellow roleplayers, as well as the HRP account. Remember that there are real people behind these characters. Respect boundaries, both personal and character-related. ALWAYS ASK before doing something.
Respect your fellow roleplayers’ right to refuse a topic or plot they’re not comfortable with even when they refuse to tell you their reasons.
Respect authority figures—from us, admins, down to your Prefects. Listen to their voices especially when yours and other’s safety is in question, or when reprimanding you.
Keep personal fights out of RP. Grievances and arguments should be discussed in private between the parties concerned. Be mindful of others.
Bullying in any way is also not allowed unless arranged by ALL involved parties with everyone keeping a realistic attitude towards the situation.

PROMPTING
Label your prompts with trigger warnings before the content. Avoid censoring your triggers as others may bypass it easily.
Do NOT demand immediate replies from your fellow roleplayers, and that includes us. We all have lives outside this world. Instead, give them a gentle reminder either through DMs or a subtle tweet. Avoid flooding threads, too.
If your reply exceeds one tweet, always put indicators to not confuse your RP partners and to avoid messing up your threads.
You can’t control characters other than your own. You cannot make any decisions for any other player’s character. You can keep NPCs (Non-Playing Character) as supporting characters. A supporting character is a person or creature with a minor role that can be controlled by everyone within the topic.
Examples of possible NPCs are ghosts, house elves, and others. They are required to be viewed from the point of your own character. NPCs and other roles cannot be your fellow roleplayers or characters from the books.
Your character MUST BE realistic. No overpowered characters. This means that you’re not allowed to use skills beyond what is expected of your age or year level. Weaknesses give flavor to your characters. Let them experience struggles.
Avoid metagaming. This means using knowledge beyond what your character knows or is supposed to know. Avoid making decisions based on what you know rather than what your character knows.
Do NOT reverse the events from a previous reply. If it says you have been soaked in water from head to toe, you have been soaked. React accordingly to what has been served before you unless given an option.
Do NOT drive the narrative on your own. Give your RP partner a chance to reply before proceeding. Do not force plots you haven’t agreed with.
Do NOT harm characters unless directed by the prompt. ALWAYS ASK for permission if you ever decide to incorporate said instance and discuss it with the admins. Furthermore, your characters are not allowed to die.
Serious topics such as terminal illnesses and mental disorders are not allowed, both as a part of your character or as a subject in prompts or in chats.

HOW TO APPLY
APPLICATION RULES
Make sure you have thoroughly read our Code of Conduct and understood every wording it contains. Your ignorance of our laws clearly written will not justify any rash behavior condemned upon us.
Finalize your character's name, and other important details about yourself before signing up. Choose only one (1) faceclaim you wish to associate with the base.
Be familiar with the world you are about to enter. Know that you're going to be a part of a magical world far from what you grew up with the moment you sign up. However little your knowledge about this world is, do not be afraid to embark on a new journey.
Please be reminded that we follow a strict schedule regarding applications. It goes like this:
Monday to Friday: Accepting applications.
Saturday: Closed applications. Await confirmation owls.
Sunday: Sorting Ceremony. Opening Feast.
Please avoid spamming our DMs and CC while waiting for your owls. Be assured that your owl will arrive on a Saturday night—you won't receive an owl if you're applying for a taken faceclaim.
